Chunky Spaghetti Sauce, homemade

1 lb. ground turkey (or beef)
1 large onion, finely chopped
2-5 cloves garlic, crushed
1 can (28oz) whole tomatoes, undrained
1/4C chopped parsley, or dried parsley
1t salt
1T dried (or fresh) basil leaves

Cook meat, onion, and garlic over medium heat until done, drain. Stir in remaining ingredients, breaking up tomatoes. Heat to boil.
Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 20 min.
Serve with whole wheat or spelt spaghetti noodles.
