Okay I bought a whole chicken awhile back (the small kind) when it was on sale. It has sat in my freezer b/c I don't know what to do with it and I'm afraid. Does anybody have any good ideas? Thanks Lynne!
Take the chicken (I've always used defrosted) wash and take out any parts that are inside. Place in crock pot. Poor over one can of fat free cream of chicken soup (two cans if chicken is over three lbs). Cook on low 6-8 hours. Half an hour before done, remove chick and mix in 1-2 packages (one for each can of the cream of chicken soup) of powdered chicken gravy and mix together. I usually take that opportunity to remove all the meat off the chicken and just thow the meat back in the crock pot, but you could put the whole chicken back in.
I serve it over white rice, but you could use brown or pasta.
Hi Lynne--I just saw this--do you still need ideas? We have roast chicken about once a week....email me if you need instructions and I'll walk you through it :)
