Sesame Noodle Salad

This is an incredible pasta salad. Has a great kick! If I am entertaining for a birthday party or something, I like to buy a two foot sub from the Fred Meyer deli ($11), ask for all the condiments on the side (lettuce, tomato, spread- so if you don't eat it all, the leftovers aren't ruined) and then make a salad like this to supplement. It is a hit! I usually double it or even triple for a really big crowd.

Sauce:
¼ c sesame oil
¼ c rice wine vinegar
¼ c vegetable oil
¼ c soy sauce
¼ tsp chili oil
¾ tsp chopped garlic
¼ tsp fresh chopped ginger

Cook 11 oz. angel hair pasta

Add sauce

Mix in the following:
1 bunch chopped cilantro
4 diced green onions
1 sliced red bell pepper
1 ½ tsp sesame seeds

Mix and add:
½ tsp dried ground coriander
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp cayenne

have you tried it with linguine?...or is it best to stick with the angel hair?

I haven't tried linguine, but I have tried regular spaghetti and it wasn't the same. I would stick to Angel Hair.

I love this recipe! My family asks for it all the time.

yum! i just made it for dinner. i added some shredded chicken to make it more of a main dish and used some cut up mango and cashews. It reminds me of my favorite salad that they used to have at Cheesecake Factory...until they took it off the menu!

Oh my goodness!!! We just had this for dinner and it was so incredibly delicious!! The only thing I added was shredded chicken that I had soaked overnight in the dressing. I also made more of the dressing since the cooked chicken had soaked most of it up. Yummy!!!
Thanks so much for sharing that Michelle!! It was so easy and so good... on to your terryaki (no clue how to spell that!) chicken tomorrow night.
