Meal Delivery?

I don't know about you but I stress over what to bring people when bringing a meal after baby, etc. What is your go-to dish that most anybody loves and you usually bring?

Oh I don't have one! I hope someone answers this!

I did just send Kristi's enchiladas, but I never know what to do!

I HATE signing up for bringing meals too because I hate stressing over what to fix - great question! Depending on the family, someone once suggested (and I took the idea) to bring a large box of taquitos, a couple cans of beans (either refried or black), a couple cans of corn, salsa, sour cream, and chips if you want -- it all just needs to be heated up and you have a kid friendly meal without having to cook - my kind of planning! Another idea would be Chicken Fiesta Burritos - mix black beans, corn, chicken, and a large jar of mild salsa - roll into burritos with flour tortillas (add cheese before rolling) - place in a large ziplock bag - they can be heated up individually on a plate or put into the freezer and pulled out later for quick lunches. Sour cream goes well as a topper.

Some of our favorites that people brought when I had my baby were homemade mac & cheese, lasagna, scalloped potatoes, & cheesy chicken stove top stuffing casserole.

I usually make the Italian stew/soup (on this blog) or a white bean chicken chili along with all the topings and a nice loaf of bread or corn bread and a goodie. Moms usually want something healthy. Soup is comforting and healthy and easily portable.

I think my favorite one to bring and is easy to make is chicken pot pie...I will try and post the recipe I use.

great ideas, guys. thanks. I don't know why it stresses me out so much deciding what to bring, but it does... If you have a recipe you use to bring for meals, will you post it? the past couple weeks I've brought a few meals and I ended up doing something super easy and people seem to love it. I usually get a tri-tip roast at Costco cover it in Sweet Baby rays in the crock pot and cook it all day. Pull it out before you take the meal, slice thin and cover it in sauce again. They can eat it as sandwiches on costco pub buns or just the meat. I usually bring twice baked potatoes or mashed red potatoes with a veggie.
